Linux can mount Windows partitions so with a Linux (or Windows) virtual machine image (file) sitting on Windows it can be accessed by either.<\/p>\n<p>And as it turned out it works pretty well. I can access the same virtual OS regardless of which partition I&#8217;m in and it&#8217;s exactly the same visual experience. Tip: make sure you have the VirtualBox controls at the TOP of the screen.<\/p>\n<p>Now all I need to do is decide on which Linux guest I&#8217;m going to use and the best way to secure the image file.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I recently got VirtualBox working on my notebook on both the Linux and Windows partitions.
