{"id":98,"date":"2006-06-07T17:11:39","date_gmt":"2006-06-07T07:11:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gedda.info\/?p=98"},"modified":"2014-03-29T13:31:10","modified_gmt":"2014-03-29T03:31:10","slug":"jps-farewell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gedda.info\/?p=98","title":{"rendered":"JP&#8217;s farewell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As you may have heard, one the founding fathers of IT journalism in Australia, John Patrick (JP) Costello <a href=\"http:\/\/www.computerworld.com.au\/index.php?id=774804980\">passed away<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday there was a huge gathering of friends and former colleagues at the Rag &amp; Famish hotel in North Sydney to bid farewell to John.<\/p>\n<p>John was the founding editor of Computerworld Australia and highly regarded for his encouragement of young journalists.
